III. COMMENTS- COMPLIANCE
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during
the inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the
facts or evidence supporting the enforcement action.
Clean out of ditch intersection and 24" CMP at corner of Ditch D-1 and Clean coal pile perimeter ditch
is needed.
TCC continues to install piping and valves to the 6MN million Gallon Tank. The ditch is still open and
the piping continues to be installed. Grading of the finished buried line continues and seeding will
follow during the appropriate seeding window.
1 ORT borehole pad. New borehole has just been completed this week. Drillers had difficulties and
water was apparent flowing down the south face of the pad and into the SAE. The Ditch and rock check
dam proved effective in managing the sediment off this pad. No drilling mud was observed downslope
of the rock check dam. The SAE ditch on the south side of the pad needs additional cleanout. Drilling
mud and material needs to be cleaned off the 1 ORT pad around the new hole. The 1 ORT topsoil pile
needs shaping and seeding this fall.
Processing Waste: No coal is currently being extracted. Raw coal pile is very depleted. Coal was not
actively processing through Wash Plant II. A small amount of coal was processing through Wash Plant I
and loading at the Stoker area. Due to Wash Plant II not processing, no waste material was being hauled
to the refuse pile during the inspection.
5 of 6 WHITE- File YELLOW-Operator PINK-Specialist
