Colowyo C-1981-019 <br /> 13 August 2008 <br /> Pg 4/4 <br /> Hydrologic Balance (cont.): - Sump 2 contained a small amount of water at the time <br /> of the inspection. This sump received a large amount of sediment from the weekend <br /> rains and was being cleaned at the time of the inspection. <br /> - Sump 3 contained a small amount of water at the time of the inspection. This sump <br /> received a large amount of sediment from the weekend rains and was being <br /> cleaned at the time of the inspection. <br /> - Sump 4 contained a small amount of water at the time of the inspection. This sump <br /> received a large amount of sediment from the weekend rains and was being <br /> cleaned at the time of the inspection. <br /> - Sump 5 contained a small amount of water at the time of the inspection. This sump <br /> received a large amount of sediment from the weekend rains and was being <br /> cleaned at the time of the inspection. <br /> Support Facilities: - The facilities area was in good condition at the time of the <br /> inspection. No problems were noted with the area. <br /> - The Gossard Loadout appeared to be stable and in good condition at the time of <br /> the inspection. No fugitive dust coming from the coal stockpiles or stacker tube at <br /> the time of the inspection. <br /> Air Resource Protection: There was some dust on the haul roads at the time of the <br /> inspection but the operator was actively watering the roads in an attempt to keep <br /> the dust down. <br /> - There was no fugitive dust coming from the coal stockpile at the Gossard loadout at <br /> the time of the inspection. <br /> Excess Spoil: - The reclaimed portions of the West Pit fill were all well vegetated and <br /> appeared to be stable at the time of the inspection. There did not appear to be any <br /> erosional problems on the fill at the time of the inspection. <br /> - The Streeter fill was well vegetated and appeared to be stable at the time of the <br /> inspection. No erosional problems were noted on the fill. This pile has gone through <br /> a Phase II bond release. <br /> This completes the 13 August 2008 Inspection Report for the Colowyo Mine. <br />
