We had A dbl R Well Service confirm
this at that time. As the fittings and piping underground are well aged, we believe that if the
existing well is left unavailable for any time at all it will be unusable once the pumping at the Loloff
site is finished. It is our understanding that this could have been avoided had the Loloff pit been
lined so as not to pull the groundwater from everyone around. We also have lost five mature trees
since the well could no longer be accessed which we believe is a direct result of the siphoning off of
the ground water.
Accordingly, we have received a quote from A dbl R Well Service to drill a new well deep
enough so as not to be affected by the continued mining of Ron Richardson at the Loloff pit. A
copy of this quote in the amount of $5,250.44 is forwarded with this letter.
We feel that the loss of use of our well is caused directly by the mining operation, that the
existing well has been ruined by this mining and the way that the mining has been handled. There
fore we are asking that Loloff/Ron Richardson compensate us for the drilling of a new well at
sufficient depth that the continued mining will not affect our using this new well. We hope this will
be taken care of in a timely manner while we still have any trees left. This was addressed in our
original agreement with Aggregate Industries.
It was also agreed in our original agreement with Camas (Aggregate Industries) that
whenever our well was inoperable the mining operators would pay our North Weld Water bills until
our well is restored or replaced. Therefore I also submit copies of the water bill for the month of
July and August will be forthcoming.
Thank you,
r
Jim T for
d/b/a Taylor Construction
(970) 356-2869
665 Balsam Ave.
Greeley, CO 80631
cc: Don Loloff, d/b/a/ Loloff Construction, Inc., PO Box 518, Kersey, CO 80644
cc: Ron Richardson, d/b/a Richardson Consolidated, Inc., PO Box 1313, Greeley, C080632
cc: Todd Taylor, Attorney at Law 710 11th Ave., Suite 300, Greeley, CO 80631
