I work for the Colorado Attorney
General's Office representing DRMS and have been asked to respond to your request.
I will address each requested item listed in your July 24, 2008 letter in numerical
order:
1.) All Documents, including but not limited to notes, minutes, memorandum or e-mails,
reflecting the contents of meetings with representatives of Hinsdale County, the BLM, or the
Lake Fork Watershed Stakeholders relating to:
a.) The proposal of LKA to conduct exploratory mining in Hinsdale County.
b.) Operations at the Golden Wonder or any environmental problems related to the
Golden Wonder mine.
c.) Environmental concerns related to the Ute-Ule Mine.
Enclosed please find copies of a-mails sent from DRMS employees to representatives of
Hinsdale County, the BLM, and the Lake Fork Watershed Stakeholders. Please note many
of these a-mails were cc'd to Mr. Kye Abraham or Karmen King. Your CORA request
specifically asks for a-mails and other documents that reflect the contents of meetings DRMS
may have had with the various groups. Although DRMS representatives have attended such
meetings, notes or memorandums were either not generated or not kept, and therefore cannot
be provided. However, if agendas or minutes were provided to DRMS they have been
included for your review. In response to the requested information under a.) and b.), DRMS
has provided a copy of the entire Golden Wonder file for you on DVD/CD, this includes
information related to the NOI to conduct exploratory mining in Hinsdale County.
