This site was previously covered under
the combined SWSP for Aggregate Industries ("Al" or "Applicant'). The required fee of
$257 has been received (receipt no. 3624424). The purpose of this SWSP is to replace
depletions that result from mining activities.
SWSP Operations
This SWSP will make replacements to the Poudre River for 2008 and accounts
for lagged depletions from past and proposed mining operations. The applicant plans on
dry mining this site from March 2008 through October 2008. The site will be dewatered
during that period and the dewatering pumps will be turned off during the winter months
(November through February) at which time the mined area will fill with water. The water
pumped for dewatering purposes will be recharged into the alluvium near the pit to
ensure that the depletions from dewatering accrue to the stream in the same timing as
the dewatering recharge accretions.
Depletions at the site will result from evaporation, water lost in mined product and
dust control. The replacement sources proposed for this operation include recharge
associated with one share of New Cache, the Loloff Section 4 Ditch and water leased
from the Lake Canal Company.
Office of the State Engineer
RECEIVED
AUG 0 6 2008
Divisu i ot meciamation,
Mining and Safety
1313 Sherman Street, Suite 818 • Denver, CO 80203 • Phone: 303-866-3581 • Fax: 303-866-3589
www.water.state.co.us
