Revegetation Plan <br />p.5 <br />All areas will be harrowed and drill seeded in the spring and fall with a seed mix consisting of <br />the following in order to control erosion: <br />D[y Rangeland Mix Cultivar lbs. of PLS/Acre <br />Fairway Crested Wheatgrass Ephriam 0.8 <br />Pubescent Wheatgrass Luna 2.3 <br />Russian Wildrye Bozoisky 1.3 <br />Western Wheatgrass Arriba 0.8 <br />Alfalfa Spreador 2 0.5 <br />Rubber Rabbit Brush 0.3 <br />Fourwing Saltbush Rincon 0.25 <br />Total 6.25 lbs/acre <br />These grasses in the dry rangeland mix have been shown to do well in the dry lowland <br />environment of western Colorado. This is the same seed mix proposed for the rangeland at the <br />coal mine in Nucla. CO. Certified weed free hay or straw mulch will also be applied at the rate of <br />2000 lbs/acre. The entire permit area will be reclaimed to rangeland except for the access road. <br />The Rubber Rabbit Brush and the Fourwing Saltbrush seeds will be drill seeded with the grasses. <br />The distribution of these seeds will be random. <br />Pinion Ridge Pit, June 2008 D-3
