Historically, surface casing holes have been 40 to 60 feet deep.
(Mud,Air or Air/Foam)
• Run 20", 94#J-55 Surface Casing.
• Cement with"Neat Cement"to surface.
• Rig up diverter and wait on cement a minimum of 4 hours.
• Drill out from surface casing with 19"diameter bit to a depth of—817 feet.
• Trip out of the hole and run a multi shot survey or gyro survey.
• Trip in the hole with a mud motor and a19"bit. Utilize the mud motor and
surveys to drill a curve with a radius of 1327.2 feet. Complete directional surveys
every 20 feet. Drill to horizontal. Target hole(T-1)should be—50 feet away.
• Condition the hole,Trip out of the hole and run 16",754,K-55 casing.
• Cement with Type I or II Portland Cement with 2%bentonite to surface.
Wait on cement 12 hours.
• Directional drill a 14"hole—50 feet and intersect the T-1 open hole. Continue to
drill an additional 50 feet past the vertical intercept.
• Circulate the hole and monitor fluid levels in the T-1 hole to verify
communication between T-1 and 1113-1 drill holes.
• Move drill rig to HB,-L3 hole.
•
17
