Cattany <br />Division Director <br />Natural Resource Trustee <br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety (Division) has reviewed CAM Mining <br />LLC's responses to our preliminary adequacy review comments for TR-16. The <br />Division has the following additional comments regarding the revised information <br />submitted May 21, 2008 for TR-16. Please note that there are several new comments <br />regarding revised figures submitted with the May 21, 2008 response package. These new <br />comments are included at the end of this letter as Items A through E. <br />Rule 2.04.9 Soils Resource Information <br />1. The Division requested an amended map Figure 2.2-2, with soil map unit <br />boundary lines and soil sample locations included. An amended figure with the <br />map unit boundary lines was provided, but sample locations were not included <br />because they "could not be located". <br />We note that approximate locations of Soil Sample sites MC-10, MC-8, MC-3, <br />MC-4, MCL, MC-2, and MC-11, are described in Section 4.4 of the application <br />narrative. Please include these approximate sample site locations on amended <br />Figure 2.2-2. <br />Rule 2.05.3(3) Mine Facilities <br />2. Item Resolved. <br />3. The Division requested clarification of narrative on page 2-2 regarding permit <br />area drilling. The requested clarification was not provided; due to the operator's <br />Office of Office of <br />Mined (and Reclamation Denver • Grand ]unction • Durango Active and Inactive Mines
