DIVISION 1 - GENERAL REQUIREMENTS <br />SECTION 01700 - CONTRACT CLOSEOUT <br />1.01 CLOSEOUT PROCEDURES <br />The following project closeout procedure defines the responsibility of the Contractor and Engineer in <br />closing the project: <br />Step 1: Contractor advises the Engineer in writing that he has reached "Substantial Completion" <br />of all or selected portions of the work, and provides a list of items to be completed or <br />corrected. <br />Step 2: Engineer observes the work to determine if it is substantially complete, and issues a <br />"Punch List" of items to be completed or corrected. <br />Step 3: Contractor completes and/or corrects all punch list items and notifies the Engineer in <br />writing that his work is ready for final inspection. <br />Step 4: Engineer makes final examination. When all the work is found to be acceptable, the <br />Engineer will prepare a final construction report and as-built plans meeting the <br />requirements of the Contractor. <br />END OF SECTION <br />4/08 Section 01700 - Page 1 of 1
