Irrigated pasture erosion is reduced by 10.8% and dryland pasture erosion
is reduced by 42.2%. This satisfies the reclamation success requirement of no additional
erosion over pre-mine levels.
21. Weed Control
Western Fuels has executed the weed control plan as laid out in the DRMS permit. The
success of this weed control plan can be seen in the low weed presence documented in the
Vegetation Report in Appendix B. Western Fuels will continue to follow the weed control plan
from the DRMS permit.
3 Structures Left
5'" Avenue, BB Road, and part of 2700 Road will remain as part of the final reclamation of
the site. All roads have been constructed according to Montrose County specifications,
including compaction and settling procedures. Also, a number of culverts have been installed
according to the design and installment specifications listed in the DRMS permit. These
culverts are permanent drainage control structure on the site.
•
26
