•
8.2 Train appropriate personnel to operate the facility according to
systems and procedures that protect human health, the community
and the environment.
The operation is: ^ in full compliance
^ in substantial compliance
^ not in compliance ...with Standard of Practice 8.2.
Describe the basis for the Finding/Deficiencies Identified:

As noted in Section 8.1, all Process Operations workers are subject to an SOP-
based training program implemented by the Supervisor and experienced process
operators. All processes involving the use of cyanide are documented as SOPS,
administered under the CC&V ISO 14001 EMS. These SOPS form the basis of
operator training, which is further developed via annual refresher courses and (if
MRT members are involved) monthly MRT training sessions based on the CC&V
Emergency Response Plan (ERP). Training issues are also routinely addressed
in weekly safety meetings and monthly process area reports to upper
management. Additionally, employees participate in annual emergency
response drills; see Sections 7.3 and 7.6. Training records are properly retained
as noted in Section 8.1.
8.3 Train appropriate workers and personnel to respond to worker
exposures and environmental releases of cyanide.
The operation is: ^ in full compliance
^ in substantial compliance
^ not in compliance ...with Standard of Practice 8.3.
Describe the basis for the Finding/Deficiencies Identified:
•
All processes involving the use of cyanide are documented as SOPs,
administered under the CC&V ISO 14001 EMS.
