• 6.0 SECURITY AND PROJECT OFFICE SITE <br />Fire hazards in this building consist of normal office type hazards (paper, cardboard, <br />coffee pot, electrical devices, and low volumes of cleaning supplies).. Flammable or <br />combustible oils, .greases or fuels are not stored in this building. Fire protection is <br />provided by a water sprinkler system and hand held, ABC rated, dry-chemical fire <br />extinguishers provided at strategic locations convenient to the building occupants and <br />suitable for the hazards in fhe work areas. Medical oxygen is available at the security <br />office in the event that first-aid oxygen bottles need to be replenished. This facility is <br />located adjacent to State Highway 67, south of the ADR Plant. The location of this <br />facility can be found on Figure 1 "General Facility Layout". <br />7.0 CRUSHER FACILITIES <br />Fire hazards at the crushers consist of: <br />• Fifty-five gallon drums of lubricants and 2,500 pound oil or grease totes stored in <br />the laydown area adjacent to the crusher maintenance facilities <br />• Daily use quantities of oxygen, acetylene, solvent, paint, and grease normal for <br />use in a millwright shop <br />• Normal office type hazards (paper, coffee pot, and electrical devices) <br />Storage of daily use quantities of flammable or combustible materials is in an approved <br />• fire cabinet.. Fire protection is provided by hand held, ABC rated, dry-chemical fire <br />extinguishers located at strategic locations convenient to the building occupants and <br />suitable for the hazards in the work areas. The location of this facility is on Figure 1 <br />"General Facility Layout". <br />8.0 -BULK EMULSION PLANT <br />Fire hazards at the Bulk Emulsion Plant consist of storage of oxidizers. Both ammonium <br />nitrate and emulsion are oxidizers. <br />9.0 MOBILE MINING EQUIPMENT <br />CC&V maintains a fleet of mobile mining equipment consisting of rock drills, rubber tire <br />.and track dozers, front-end loaders, haul trucks, motor graders, track shovel, and <br />various support equipment and light duty vehicles that may be used over the entire <br />property. Fire protection is provided by on-board; dry-chemical, ABC type fire <br />suppression systems or by hand-held, dry-chemical fire extinguishers (or a combination <br />of both) provided at strategic locations convenient to the personnel and suitable for the <br />hazards in the works areas. Use of fire extinguishers is addressed with all personnel <br />during required training after being hired and at least annually thereafter. <br />10.0 FUEL FARM <br />The primary fuel storage area is located east of the crusher facilities. The number of <br />• tanks, tank sizes, and materials stored are listed in Table 3. The tank area is bermed <br />and lined to contain spills.
