• provided at strategic locations convenient to the building occupants and suitable for the <br />hazards in the work area. <br />3.0 PROCESS FACILITIES - ADSORPTION DESORPTION RECOVERY <br />PLANT (ADR) <br />.Existing ADR -Fire hazards in this facility consist of normal office type hazards (paper, <br />coffee pot, and electrical devices) and daily use quantities of oxygen, acetylene, solvent, <br />paint, and grease normal for use in a process plant. Other than daily use quantities, <br />flammable or combustible oils, greases or fusel are not stored in this facility. Storage of <br />daily use quantities of flammable or combustible materials is in an approved fire cabinet. <br />Fire protection is provided by hand held, ABC rated, dry-chemical fire extinguishers <br />located at strategic locations convenient to the building occupants and suitable for the <br />hazards in the work area. External SCBAs are available at the north and south <br />doorways and a fire hose is located at the interior west end of the building. The location <br />of this facility is on Figure 1 "General Facility Layout". <br />ADR Expansion - An addition to the existing ADR Plant is located directly to the south. <br />Fire hazards in this expansion of the ADR are the same as those in the existing plant. <br />4.0 CAROL E. ROBERTS LABORATORY <br />Fire hazards in this building consist of normal office type hazards (paper, coffee pot, and <br />• electrical devices) and low volume laboratory chemical use., acetylene, and oxygen. Fire <br />protection is provided by a sprinkler system supplemented with had held, ABC rated, <br />-dry-chemical fire extinguishers provided at strategic.locationscnnvenient to the building <br />occupants and suitable for the hazards in the work areas. <br />In the area between the Lab and the ADR plant, adjacent to the 5,000 gallon propane <br />tank, there is a fire hydrant external to the propane tank fenced area on the west side of <br />the tank. The location of this building is on Figure 1 "General Facility Layout" <br />5.0 VICTOR ADMINISTRATION OFFICE (IN VICTOR) <br />Fire hazards in this building consist of normal office type. hazards (paper, cardboard, <br />coffee -pot, electrical devices, and household quantities of cleaning supplies). <br />Flammable or combustible oils, greases or fuels are not stored in this building. Fire <br />protection is provided by hand held, ABC rated, dry-chemical fire extinguishers provided <br />at strategic locations convenient to the building occupants and suitable for the hazards in <br />the work areas. <br />A paper and cardboard interim recycle storage area is in the basement. A fireproof <br />cabinet is located in an adjacent garage located on Victor Avenue, which contains low <br />volumes of paint, portable cans of gasoline, and household quantities of flammable <br />materials.
