This SRP is the guide for prevention and expedited control of "releases" of the above-listed
substances to ground or waters when such releases are the responsibility of CC&V2. This SRP is #o
be used by CC&V Team Members to assist in responding to, containing, remediating and recording,
• and reporting responses to releases. Names and telephone numbers of CC&V Team Members arid
other persons to be notified are listed on the front cover and in the ERP under the CONTACTS tab.
Transporter contacts are listed in the ERP under the CONTACTS tab: The external reportirig
contacts and agencies to whom certain releases are to be reported by representatives of the
Environmental Resources are also listed in the ERP under the CONTACTS tab.
1.1 External Reporting -Reportable Gluantities i
•
Releases that occur out of doors and outside an engineered containment area and which meet qr
exceed the numeric thresholds known as Reportable Quantities ("RQ") as listed in Table 1, requirie
reporting to outside county, state and/or federal agencies. Spills or releases of these substances
should be immediately reported to the Environmental Resources Department and CC&V Team
supervisors. Use the Internal Spill Report form (Appendix A) provided in this SRP to document th'e
spill or release. Provide the Internal Spill Report to the Environmental Resources Department as
soon as possible within the same shift of the occurrence so that external reporting can bye
accomplished within the required 24 hours.
(~)_ i
Table 1 Reportable quantities if Released to Land Bulk Chemicals

Product Used at
CC&V

Listed Chemical RD of listed
Chemical
(pounds) Density of
product
ounds/ allon) Concentration
of Listed
Chemical (%
RQ of Product
(allons
Diesel or Gasoline Diesel or Gasoline 1,000 cz~
tifreeze Eth lene GI col 5,000 8.34 95.0% 631!.07
odium H droxide odium H droxide 1,000 12.71 50.0% 157,x.36
H drochloric Acid H drochloric Acid 5,000 9.83 36.0% 1,412.91
ntiscalant Phos horic Acid 100 8.92 10.0% 112.11
odium H ochlorite odium H ochlorite 100
alcium H ochlorite alcium H ochlorite 10
snide Solutions odium C snide cs~ 10 8.34 0.010% 11,990.41
snide Solutions odium C snide ~3~ 10 8.34 0.015% 7,993.61
snide Solutions odium C snide t3~ 10 8.34 24.0% 5.00
snide Solutions odium C snide c3> 10 8.34 25.0% 4.80
snide Solutions odium Cyanide ca> 10 8.34 26.0% 4.61
snide Solutions odium C snide cs) 10 8.34 27.0% 4.44
snide Solutions odium snide c3~ 10 8.34 28.0% 4.28
snide Solutions odium C snide ls~ 10 8.34 29.0% 4.13
~'~ Discharge of oil in such quantities that result in exceedance of applicable receiving water quality standards or cause a film or
sheen upon the surface of the receiving water must be reported to the National Response Center.
cz~ Into or upon the navigable waters of the U.
