Parkdale Quarry Amendment #1-Bond Phasing Calculations
Apri12008
Phase II descriptions for stormwater ponds, access road, topsoil stockpiles, overburden stockpiles, berm,
Tallahassee Creek bridges, and railroad spur are the same as the reclamation Phase I calculation.
Granite Quarry Phase III (Year 22)
This phase of the Quarry operation is characterized by active mining in Area 4. It is assumed that
reclamation is complete along the northern mining face of Area 1 and Area 2. It is also assumed that
reclamation is in process for the eastern portion of the Area 3. This phase uses the same assumptions in
terms of unit costs as Phase I. This phase is assumed to take place at year 22 of the mining operation.
The key differences between Phase III and Phase I are as follows:
• Reclamation of approximately 160 vertical feet of 2,430 linear feet of the active mining face in
Area 3. This aspect also includes the replacement of topsoil to 6-inches, seeding and mulching,
and reseeding the area.
• Reclamation of approximately 10 surface acres of mining benches. This aspect includes the
replacement of topsoil to 6-inches, seeding and mulching, and reseeding the area.
Phase III descriptions for stormwater ponds, access road, topsoil stockpiles, overburden stockpiles,
berm, Tallahassee Creek bridges, and railroad spur are the same as the reclamation Phase I calculation.
6~Page
