These expenditures are for services such as consulting,
attorneys, engineering services, and laboratory expenses. During 2007, a total of $3,452,000 will
be paid for outside professional services, excluding contract exploration drilling services. The
additional impact upon the economies of the study area is given below in Table 9.
Professional Services Expenditures - 2007 Industry # 5416A0 Teller State of
County Region Colorado
Contract Service Expenditures $1,700,893 $2,391,208 $3,451,572
Direct Employment Multiplier per $1M Final Demand 11.363 13.368 13.303
Direct Employment 19 32 46
Direct Earnings per $1 M Final Demand 0.343 0.403 0.401
Direct Earnings $582,641 $963,657 $1,384,080
~...__~
Contract Service Expenditures
Total Employment Multiplier per $1M Final Demand
Total Employment
Total Earnings per $1 M Final Demand
Total Earnings
$1,700,893 $2,391,208 $3,451,572
19.14625 22.525 24.607
33 54 85
0.568 0.668 0.746
$965,767 $1,597,327 $2,574,873
Soume: David Bamberger 8 Associates

Contract Services Expenditures -Exploration
In addition to the employment and earnings effects resulting from the labor expenditures of
CC&V, significant amounts are expended on contract services for exploration of new ore depos-
its. These expenditures benefit the economy by adding to the employment and earnings shown
in Tables 6 and 9.
Table 10 calculates the effects upon, employment and earnings levels resulting from the contract
services expenditures of CC&V for exploration drilling. This type of expenditure does not result
in an increase in employee count at CC&V, but does contribute to the direct employment and
earnings of residents of the area where the providers live (the residences of recipients of these
payments) and to the induced employment and earnings of residents of these areas. This type of
expenditure is treated differently than most other CC&V expenditures because the effects of
most other types of expenditures,' such as operations and maintenance, water, power, supplies,
chemicals, rentals, telephone, etc., are included in the multipliers used in Table 6 and are there-
fore not separately estimated, while drilling services are.
18
