As listed below, reclamation of the site has complied with additional subsections of the - Reclamation Performance Standards. 3.1.5 - Materials Handling . To meet requirements, the following activities were performed. • .Grading created a final topography appropriate .for ,the permitted final land use of . reservoir and reservoir shoreline. . • Backfilling was performed with adequate compaction for. stability. Compaction testing was completed to fulfill the State Engineers Guidelines for Lining Criteria for Gravel Pits. • No minim; highwalls were ieft on the site-and ail slopes were graded to controi potential erosion anal siltation. • .Grading of all slopes.was done as mining progressed. • No refuse, .acid-forming, or toxic producing materials were mined or produced on the site. • No drill or auger holes were part of.the mining operations and no adits or shafts were created. • No significant slopes were left on the site. Slopes surrounding the ponds are consistent . with the pre-existing topography and appropriate for use. as pastureland. • Structural fill was not used to backfill the excavated pit. • Material that could potentially cause unauthorized releases of pollutants to_ the surface drainage system was not mined or disposed of within the affected area. • No unauthorized release _of pollutants to groundwater occurred from materials mined or handled within .the permit area. ~- All backfilling anal grading was done as mining progressed. Final grading was completed in the - winter of 2005: Final revegetation at the site was performed in the spring of 2005. . 3.1.6 Water -General Requirements Disturbances to the prevailing hydrologic.balancP of the affectedland and.stirrounding area warp minimized. • The operator has complied with applicable Colorado water laws and regulations governing injury to existing water rights. • The operator has complied with applicable federal and Colorado water quality laws and regulations, including statewide water quality standards and -site-specific classifications .and standards adopted by the Water Quality Control Commission. • The operator has complied with all applicable federal- and Colorado dredge and fill requirements. • No temporary or permanent siltation structures were constructed.. • No dams were. constructed in conjunction with this permit. • All surface areas of the affected land were-stabilized to control erosion.
