As listed below, reclamation of the site has complied with additional subsections of the - <br />Reclamation Performance Standards. <br />3.1.5 - Materials Handling . <br />To meet requirements, the following activities were performed. <br />• .Grading created a final topography appropriate .for ,the permitted final land use of . <br />reservoir and reservoir shoreline. . <br />• Backfilling was performed with adequate compaction for. stability. Compaction testing <br />was completed to fulfill the State Engineers Guidelines for Lining Criteria for Gravel <br />Pits. <br />• No minim; highwalls were ieft on the site-and ail slopes were graded to controi potential <br />erosion anal siltation. <br />• .Grading of all slopes.was done as mining progressed. <br />• No refuse, .acid-forming, or toxic producing materials were mined or produced on the <br />site. <br />• No drill or auger holes were part of.the mining operations and no adits or shafts were <br />created. <br />• No significant slopes were left on the site. Slopes surrounding the ponds are consistent <br />. with the pre-existing topography and appropriate for use. as pastureland. <br />• Structural fill was not used to backfill the excavated pit. <br />• Material that could potentially cause unauthorized releases of pollutants to_ the surface <br />drainage system was not mined or disposed of within the affected area. <br />• No unauthorized release _of pollutants to groundwater occurred from materials mined or <br />handled within .the permit area. ~- <br />All backfilling anal grading was done as mining progressed. Final grading was completed in the <br />- winter of 2005: Final revegetation at the site was performed in the spring of 2005. <br />. 3.1.6 Water -General Requirements <br />Disturbances to the prevailing hydrologic.balancP of the affectedland and.stirrounding area warp <br />minimized. <br />• The operator has complied with applicable Colorado water laws and regulations <br />governing injury to existing water rights. <br />• The operator has complied with applicable federal and Colorado water quality laws and <br />regulations, including statewide water quality standards and -site-specific classifications <br />.and standards adopted by the Water Quality Control Commission. <br />• The operator has complied with all applicable federal- and Colorado dredge and fill <br />requirements. <br />• No temporary or permanent siltation structures were constructed.. <br />• No dams were. constructed in conjunction with this permit. <br />• All surface areas of the affected land were-stabilized to control erosion. <br />
