MANAGEMENT
On behalf of Bowie Resources Limited (BRL), enclosed is an application for a technical
revision to provide for the drilling of two exploration holes. The exploration holes will
further define thE: remaining coal reserves within the Bowie No. 1 Mine permit area. The
project involves iupgrading approximately 1.7 miles of light use road, constructing 0.1
miles of new road and the construction of two drill pads. Reclamation will consist of
restoring the drill) pads to approximate original contour, narrowing the upgraded light
use road, reclaiming the new road and seeding.
Right of Entry
The exploration (hole, gob vent holes and light use roads are located on surface owned
by BRL. The co;~l is subject to Federal Coal Lease C-37210.
Affected and Disturbed Area
The new and upgraded light use roads and two drill pads will disturb approximately 3.9
acres. Approxirriately 0.9 acres of the DH-69 Road and one 0.5 acre drill site are over a
mined out area. Therefore, the affected area will increase 2.5 acres.
TR-44 provided i~or the installation of one exploration hole and two gob vent holes. This
work was never completed and through this technical revision these three holes are to
be deleted from 'the permit. The work contemplated by TR-44 had 6.2 disturbed acres
and 5.1 acres of affected area.
Thus the net nevv disturbance created by this technical revision number 49 is -2.3
disturbed acres ~~nd -2.6 affected acres.
