EXHIBIT L RECLAMATION COSTS
This reclamation cost estimate in based on the assumption
that there will be no more than 32.91 acres ± disturbed at any
one time. The following information also depicts a worse case
scenario. At that time Grand County will have to respread 2,953
cubic yards of topsoil; do 2,499 cubic yards of cut/fill dozer
work on 300 lft of working face; grade 24.21 acres for commercial
development area and revegetate 5.49 ac. ±. The amount of
topsoil that will be re-spread is based on an average of 4
inches. A D-8N dozer will be used to do all shaping, recoiling
and seedbed preparation. A 988 Loader will be used to spread
topsoil and a 140G blade will be used to shape the commercial
area. Mobilization costs are estimated as round trip costs, one
way distance of 31 miles and average speed of 40 mph. These
figures are then used in the calculations for the bond estimate.
The revegetation cost figure includes fertilizer, grass seed,
mulch and drilling costs.
This is done in an attempt to set the bond so there is flexi-
bility to operate without reevaluating the bond yearly.
RECLAMATION ACTIVITY AREAS (ac, Ift.)
