If stock is in the project area, extra <br />precautions must be taken by the operator and their contractors to ensure that stock are not <br />pushed out of the currently occupied grazing unit. <br />12. The Operator will be held responsible for all damage to fences, cattle guards, resource <br />improvements, roads, and other structures on NFS lands that result from their operations. <br />The Forest Service must be notified of damages as soon as possible. <br />Hazardous Waste <br />_ _ 13; Disposal_of sewage and.trash_wilLbe_at_an_authorized disposal site-off-the-Forest-Portable- - - ---- - <br />toilets must be provided for personnel working on the drill sites. If more than one drill site is <br />utilized dwring drilling activities, portable toilets will be provided at each site. <br />14. All drilling fluids, mud and cuttings must be contained on the project site in mud pits or <br />portable containers. The pit must not be used for disposal of garbage, trash, or other refuse. <br />Unattended pits will be fenced to keep out livestock and wildlife <br />Health and Safetv <br />15. The Operator will comply with any fire restrictions in effect at the time of proposed <br />operations. The Forest Service reserves the right to suspend operations during periods of <br />high fire potential. Forest Service will provide the operator as much advance notice of <br />anticipated closure orders as possible. <br />16. The Operator will have ability to contact emergency services, including Montrose Interagency <br />Fire Dispatch at all times. Fire extinguishers, ABC grade, at least 5 lbs. or greater, will be on <br />or near each internal combustion engine. <br />17. All gasoline, diesel, and steam-powered equipment must be equipped with effective spark <br />arresters c-r mufflers. Spark arresters must meet Forest Service specifications discussed in <br />the "General Purpose and Locomotive (GP/L) Spark Arrester Guide, Volume 1, April, 1988"; <br />and "Multi-•position Small Engine (MSE) Spark Arrester Guide, April, 1989". In addition, all <br />electrical equipment must be properly insulated to prevent sparks. <br />18. Oxbow will be held responsible for damage and suppression costs for fires started as a result <br />of operations to the extent permitted by state and federal law. Fires must be reported to the <br />Forest Service as soon as possible. <br />
