u
Page 3 ofd

v) The newly seeded areas will be mulched using weed-free, native hay
mulch at the rate of one ton per acre. The mulch will be applied using
hyrdomulchirig or manual broadcasting. If manually broadcasted, the
mulch will be crimped into the soil after application or a tackifier will be
applied to the mulch to keep it in place. If at the time of reclamation it is
determined that there are better methods of mulching, we may choose to
use those alternative methods after consultation with the local Soil
Conservation District.
vi) The. establishment methods recommended in the Standards and
Specifications-Critical Area Plantin ac.) {342)[ML12A E 49A & E49B
will be used as our guide in planting and caring or shrubs and/or trees as
part of our reclamation of disturbed areas. If at the time of reclamation
we encounter excessive bare rock slopes that are going to be difficult to
reclaim, we may explore the possibility of creating "tree pads" on those
areas in order to accomplish more effective reclamation. Since the site is
located in a moderate to severe wildfire hazard area, trees and/or shrubs
shall be established at a rate that would be compatible with wildfire
mitigation.
d}There are no ponds or streams on the affected area, Buildings or other structures (if
any) constructed on the site will most likely remain after reclamation if they are
determined to be useful for other applications in the post-extraction selected use of the
land. The road constructed into the center of the property that originates on the eastern
portion of the permitted area. may remain for access to the property.
e) Thhere will be no underground mine openings, ditches or sediment control facilities on
the permitted area. Waste rock piles will be used as backfill material in the reclamation
process. Buildings or other structures, if any, maybe left for use of the landowner if that
is hi;s desire.
