CONTRACTOR shall be reflected in each Bid Item or shall be paid at the CONTRACTOR's <br /> expense. <br /> ADDITIVE ALTERNATE ITEM 3 - REVEGETATION <br /> All other areas disturbed and/or compacted during channel construction work will be revegetated <br /> according to the Revegetation Specifications (20.0) in the General Bid Specifications. Commercial <br /> fertilizer OR manure may be used for this project. Seed will be supplied by the OWNER. <br /> Revegetation work will be initiated immediately upon completion of all excavation and regrading <br /> work. Revegetation may be completed concurrent to completed AND APPROVED channel <br /> construction or regrading activities. The OWNER will supply all the seed for the reseeding and <br /> mulch for mulching. The CONTRACTOR will supply the fertilizer, fertilizer application, seed <br /> application, mulching, and mulch crimping. Earthmoving activities related to channel construction <br /> and regrading activities are estimated to disturb approximately 2 acres that will require <br /> revegetation. <br /> Measurement and Payment <br /> Payment for this item will be reflected in a lump sum bid under Additive Alternate Item 3. This lump <br /> sum bid will cover payment of all costs for fertilizing (including supplying fertilizer), seeding, <br /> mulching, and mulch crimping. These revegetation procedures will be performed on all regraded, <br /> backfilled and other areas requiring revegetation due to channel construction or regrading <br /> procedures. There will be no measurement for payment. Payment shall be as this item is <br /> completed and approved by the PROJECT MANAGER. Payment for this item will be made only <br /> for that amount shown under Additive Alternate Item 3 of the Bid Schedule. Any or all incidental <br /> costs incurred by the CONTRACTOR shall be reflected in each Bid Item or shall be paid at the <br /> CONTRACTOR's expense. <br /> PROJECT OBSERVATION <br /> The PROJECT MANAGER will be at the project site periodically to monitor construction activities <br /> and ensure that each work item is completed and constructed to design specifications. The <br /> PROJECT MANAGER will be available during regular business hours (8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.) on <br /> weekdays. Inspections will not be scheduled on weekend days or holidays without prior approval <br /> of the PROJECT MANAGER. It is the Contractor's responsibility to schedule inspections with the <br /> Project Manager so as not to delay the work. The following items must be observed and approved <br /> by the PROJECT MANAGER before proceeding with additional work: <br /> 1. All Equipment Rental hours <br /> 2.
