CONTRACTOR shall be reflected in each Bid Item or shall be paid at the CONTRACTOR's expense. ADDITIVE ALTERNATE ITEM 3 - REVEGETATION All other areas disturbed and/or compacted during channel construction work will be revegetated according to the Revegetation Specifications (20.0) in the General Bid Specifications. Commercial fertilizer OR manure may be used for this project. Seed will be supplied by the OWNER. Revegetation work will be initiated immediately upon completion of all excavation and regrading work. Revegetation may be completed concurrent to completed AND APPROVED channel construction or regrading activities. The OWNER will supply all the seed for the reseeding and mulch for mulching. The CONTRACTOR will supply the fertilizer, fertilizer application, seed application, mulching, and mulch crimping. Earthmoving activities related to channel construction and regrading activities are estimated to disturb approximately 2 acres that will require revegetation. Measurement and Payment Payment for this item will be reflected in a lump sum bid under Additive Alternate Item 3. This lump sum bid will cover payment of all costs for fertilizing (including supplying fertilizer), seeding, mulching, and mulch crimping. These revegetation procedures will be performed on all regraded, backfilled and other areas requiring revegetation due to channel construction or regrading procedures. There will be no measurement for payment. Payment shall be as this item is completed and approved by the PROJECT MANAGER. Payment for this item will be made only for that amount shown under Additive Alternate Item 3 of the Bid Schedule. Any or all incidental costs incurred by the CONTRACTOR shall be reflected in each Bid Item or shall be paid at the CONTRACTOR's expense. PROJECT OBSERVATION The PROJECT MANAGER will be at the project site periodically to monitor construction activities and ensure that each work item is completed and constructed to design specifications. The PROJECT MANAGER will be available during regular business hours (8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.) on weekdays. Inspections will not be scheduled on weekend days or holidays without prior approval of the PROJECT MANAGER. It is the Contractor's responsibility to schedule inspections with the Project Manager so as not to delay the work. The following items must be observed and approved by the PROJECT MANAGER before proceeding with additional work: 1. All Equipment Rental hours 2. All revegetation procedures. 10
