Flush area with water. <br />• Large Spills: Prevent entry into waters of the state. Isolate area and deny entry to <br />unnecessary personnel. Flush <br />area with water. <br />Cnill Notification Requirements <br />• Immediately contact the Mine Foreman (verbally) <br />• If not available contact General Manager at 303 864-7775 <br />• Reportable quantity: 1,000 pounds <br />• Reportable quantity exceeds maximum site quantity (230 gallons of 4% solution is <br /> equivalent to approximately 135 lbs. of ferric sulfate) <br />• No agency notifications required unless spill enters waters of the State <br />• Report spills of any quantity which enter waters of the State to: <br /> o National Response Center <br /> (800) 424-8802 <br /> o Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment <br /> Toll-Free 24-hour Environmental Spill Reporting Line <br /> (877) 518-5608 <br /> o Bureau of Land Management, Grand Junction Field Office <br /> Alan Kraus <br /> 970 244-3078 <br />• Refer to the Spill Report in Appendix A for information to be provided to the above <br /> agencies during oral notification <br />• Follow-up written notification will be required by the above agencies and are required <br /> to be copied to the BLM.':I Instructions for submittal of the written notification will be <br /> provided b the agencies ?!durinor following oral notification. <br />2 of 2
