Lee B. & Kathleen Worthington
RE: SerFer Pit Letter of Response
July 3, 2008
Regarding site security and safety, all precautions required by involved governing bodies
and agencies affiliated with the site will be enforced throughout the life of the mine and
following reclamation.
Comment 11, Bond and Escrow: Should the proposed operation be approved in any manner a
significant escrow as well as increased bond should be required to ensure all operations meet the
conditions of the permit including a definite timeline for completion of operations
It is inherent in the application process that, before approval, an appropriate surety bond
be established and agreed upon by the Applicant and the Board. The Bond will be
sufficient to ensure the reclamation of the site during any period of the mine's progress.
We hope the above explanations have fully addressed and satisfied your concerns with
the proposed SerFer Pit mine. Should you have any questions or desire further clarification
regarding this response, please feel free to contact our office.
Sincerely,
Applegate Group, inc.
y Thompson
Natural Resource Specialist
TAT/ta
cc John Warr-en,-Connell-Resources,Inc.------- --
Peter Hayes, DRMS
AG File #07-122
NA07122 Connell Resources 392 & CR13\Disciplines (Technical)\Mine Planning\Objector Letters\Non-Party ObjectorsMorthington Non-Party Objector Letter.docx
