Task 13 - Revegetation <br />Work Description <br />Upon completion of the final grading, all areas in Sections 15 and 22, disturbed during <br />reclamation work, and any other areas specified in these Special Conditions will be <br />revegetated according to 20.0 Revegetation, attached. Disturbed land will be fertilized, <br />broadcast seeded, mulched and crimped. Commercial fertilizer is required for this project. <br />Seed will be supplied by the OWNER. The Pinon-Juniper seed mix will be used on all areas. <br />The following requirements apply: <br />¦ The awarded CONTRACTOR will notify the PROJECT MANAGER two (2) weeks in <br />advance of his notice to proceed with the revegetation phase of the project. <br />¦ The OWNER will supply all the seed for the revegetation work. <br />¦ The CONTRACTOR will supply the fertilizer, mulch, equipment for fertilizer application, <br />seeding, mulching and crimping on any and all of these procedures which will be used. <br />Measurement and Payment <br />The revegetated area will be measured to the nearest 0.1 acreage. Payment for Task 13 will <br />be based on the unit price bid under Item 13 and on the Bid Schedule and the actual number <br />of acres revegetated. This unit price cost will cover payment of all costs associated with each <br />component of the revegetation project. Any or all incidental costs incurred by the <br />CONTRACTOR shall be reflected in each Bid Item of shall be paid at the CONTRACTOR'S <br />expense. <br />Task #14 - Reforestation <br />Two areas north of Pond 15-P20 and south of Pond 22-P17 will require the planting of native <br />trees to help stabilize steep slopes. <br />Work Description <br />Rocky Mountain Juniper and Pinon Pine tree "tublings" shall be planted according to the <br />attached Tree Seedling Planting specifications, using a twenty to thirty foot center random <br />pattern. Two areas will be covered namely: <br />An area 100 feet by 200 feet, lying directly west of the ditch to Pond 15-P20 will <br />require 75 trees, (see Map #5). <br />An area south of Pond 22-P17 will require one hundred seventy five (175) trees in an <br />area 100 feet by 500 feet, (see Map #5). <br />Fertilizer tablet shall be incorporated into the soil for each tubling, in addition to <br />polyacrylamide, which shall be incorporated into the soil for each tubling at the rate <br />recommended by the CSFS. <br />Tublings, polyacrylamide and fertilizer tablets will be provided by the Division of Minerals and <br />Geology. <br />11
