Task 5 - Reconstruction of Pond 22-P10 The purpose of this task is to construct a new northwest embankment for Pond 22-P10, repair damage to the adjacent haulage road, and install a new culvert under the road. Work Description A new northwest embankment shall be constructed between the haul road and a prominent siltstone outcrop on the southwest side of the existing Pond. It will be approximately five feet high by 60 feet in length, with an 8-foot crest width. Some material for its construction is available from the Pond, however care must be taken not to damage willows which have become established within the Pond. The majority of construction material will have to be imported, possibly from the Pond 15-P10 or stream realignment areas. Gullies cutting into the road northwest of the pond shall be filled and the road regraded. The existing culvert at Pond 22-P10 will be supplemented with a 36-inch CPS culvert. It shall be installed adjacent to and at the same grade as the existing culvert. Estimated length is 50 feet. Measurement and Payment There will be no measurement for Task #5. Payment for Task #5 will be reflected in a lump sum bid under Item 5 on the Bid Schedule. Task 6 - Ditch Repair, Culvert Installation, and Rock Swale Construction. Work Description Two hundred seventy-five (275) feet of ditch, from the south edge of pond 22-P10 to a point approximately halfway between the Pond and Culvert C-10 will be widened, shaped and riprapped as shown in Drawing #2. At this point an 8 ft. x 2 ft. berm will be installed across the ditch and a 30-inch CSP culvert under the road. The culvert will be approximately 50 feet in length. At culvert C-3, approximately 800 feet southeast of Pond 22-P10, a 20-foot wide x 2 ft deep rock swale will be constructed across the road. Measurement and Payment There will be no measurement for Task #6. Payment for Task #6 will be reflected in a lump sum bid under Item #6 on the Bid Schedule. 8
