Weed: Leafy spurge (Euphorbia esula) Priority: 2
A. Current distribution: Leafy spurge is listed on the state and county noxious weed list;
however, it is not expected to be present on the project site. This will be determined at
initial weed survey used to develop baseline data.
B. Goal: To prevent spread of leafy spurge to non-infested locations and to eradicate any
existing populations.
C. Management plans: Reduce any existing population (or encroaching population) through
herbicide applications as recommended by CSU Extension personnel and/or licensed
pesticide applicator.
D. Evaluation: Assess population changes through annual inventory.
Weed: Hoary cress (Cardaria draba) Priority: 2
A. Current distribution: No known infestations at project site. Determination of this will be
made at initial weed survey used to develop baseline data.
B. Goal: To eliminate existing populations or prevent spread onto project site.
C. Management plans: Utilize herbicide applications as warranted by severity of infestation.
D. Evaluation: Assess population changes through annual inventory.
4. APPENDICES
Appendix 1. MAP OF PROJECT AREA, attached
Appendix 2. HERBICIDE USE PROTOCOLS
When herbicides are utilized for weed control, they will be registered with EPA and
approved by the State of Colorado.
