Truck traffic will
utilize Highway 90.
The gravel thickness is approximately 40 feet, and it is estimated that the deposit has a relatively
flat bottom at 5950'. This was estimated from conversation with the previous operator of the pit.
2. Mining Timetable
The following table (Table C-2) is a best estimate of the sequence of operations for the life of
the mine and is based on producing 50,000 tons per year. This may change due to the
• inconsistent demand in the area. It is projected the majority of the material will be sold to the oil
and gas industry and for highway construction. Mining is planned to initiate in late 2008 and be
completed by 2017.
Table C-2 Pinion Ridge Pit Mining Sequence

Production per Length of time to
Year Phase Comments
year(tons) complete months
2008 Site Preperation, Topsoil stripping, install 2
- 1 Stormwater Containment Berm 1.
2008- Mine in Mining Area 1, stockpile topsoil, seed

2013
50,000
2
topsoil stockpile. 58.2
2013- Mine in Mining Area 2, place overburden and
topsoil on sideslopes and pit floor in Mining Area 39.5
2017 50,000 3 ],seed
Replace topsoil in all remaining unreclaimed areas.
Install Stormwater Containment Berm 2,
2017 Seed/Reseed all areas that don't have adiquete 2
4 vegetation.
Total 101.7
Pinion Ridge Pit, June 2008 C-2
