Hydrologic Balance <br /> Pond 4 and pond 5 were found dry. The mine site and surrounding area have been <br /> abnormally dry this spring. Both pond embankments and spillways appeared in good <br /> condition with no problems observed. <br /> Revegetation <br /> Grasses and forbs are present but <br /> somewhat subdued due to <br /> extended recent dry conditions. <br /> The Russian knapweed plants <br /> (shown at right) near the parking <br /> area were identified and flagged <br /> with survey tape for identification <br /> and future spraying. George <br /> Patterson notified by via email that <br /> these plants were treated with <br /> herbicide by the County on June 17, <br /> 2008, the day following this <br /> inspection. <br /> 4 <br />
