SECTION 2.05 OPERATION AND RECLAMATION PLAN <br />• <br />2.05.1 Ohiectives <br />Oakridge's objective for Section 2.05 is to submit a comprehensive, reliable plan of operations and a <br />reclamation plan consistent with available environmental resources information and in compliance <br />with the provisions of this Section. Information responsive to the Operations and Reclamation Plan <br />requirement have been set forth in the following pages. <br />2.05.2 Operation Plan -Estimated Area for the Life of the Operations <br />At this time no further coal mining will occur at the Carbon Junction Mine. <br />The original box cut spoil from the North Pit and South Pit was placed in the permanently reclaimed <br />spoil area. Stability of this area was investigated and confirmed during the initial permitting of the <br />mine and construction of the box cut spoil area. This azea has an engineered underdrain and was <br />constructed in lifts to ensure long-term stabi&ty. <br />2.05.2(11 Production Methods and Eauioment <br />• <br />No fiuher coal mining will occur at the Carbon Junction Nfine under this permit. Remaining <br />activities will be Limited to those necessary to reclaim the mine and monitor reclamation. <br />2.05.2(2) Operation Description <br />Activities at the Carbon Junction Mine are soley related to reclamation and monitoring. The mine <br />plan map revised in 2002 shows two foot contour intervals derived from aerial photography in the <br />1st quarter of 2002. The base topographic map was developed by La Plata County. <br />The breakdown of current acreage at the Carbon Junction Mine is as follows: <br />Area Description Acreage <br />I . North Pit 7.
