MINED LAND RECLAMATION BOARD 110(2) ANNUAL REPORT
For Season 2007
COLORADO CALUMET COMPANY INCORPORATED
PERMIT NO. M-2006-034
Summary:
Prepared: 15 April 2008
Colorado Calumet Company Inc. operated mechanized equipment on the Blue Streak No.
2 mining claim from 6 July through 21 July 2007 in Teller County, Colorado to produce
amazonite, smoky quartz, fluorite, goethite, and other related pegmatite mineral
specimens. A John Deere 992 track hoe and/or 690 was used along with an appropriate
air compressor and water buffalo. Exploration occurred at Site E. An access road was put
in from F.S. Road 752 across the Two Point claim to access Site E. Site E was partially
reclaimed and made safe for the winter.
Permit M-2006-034 Changes 2007:
In conjunction with Glacier Peak Mining LLC, Colorado Calumet Co. Inc. submitted an
amendment to include limited blasting at Site M on the Blue Streak No. 1 claim. The
blasting plan was approved on 12 June 2007. The U.S.F.S. approved the amendment 9
Nov 2007. Blasting, however, will not occur at this site for at least another season.
May Depicting Operations:
Attached is a map which shows the four claims covered under this mining permit. The 14
permitted excavation sites are labeled by letters A through N and are indicated by dashed
lines, either rectangular or circular, on the map. An orange area within a permitted site
indicates an open excavation where work will resume during next season. Presently there
is an open excavation at Site E on the Blue Streak No. 2. Green shaded areas are
excavations that have been refilled, re-contoured and reseeded. Blue shaded areas would
indicate reclamation over 80 percent recovered. No sites are yet 80 percent recovered.
Current Disturbances (2007):
An area of 0.24 acre total was excavated during 2007 operations. This site was filled, re-
contoured, and reseeded at the end of the season except for a small area on the west end
where operations will -resume in 2008.
An access road was also constructed to this site from F.S. Road 752 across the Two Point
claim. The road was water-barred and bermed. Additionally, it was temporarily seeded to
prevent erosion. A U.S.F.S. approved gate was installed at the intersection with Road
752.
