PR-12 Exhibit 71 29 <br />activities have moved well east of the Jumbo Mountain area and there have been no measurable mining-induced <br />• <br />impacts at this site. Monitoring at this spring began in 2000. <br />4.4.4 Springs above the E Seam in the Minnesota Creek and Dry Fork Drainage Basin <br />4.4.4.1 Spring J-4 <br />Spring J-4 is located in East Gulch East of Horse Gulch and is tributary to Dry Fork and Minnesota Creek (Map <br />1). It is south of the SE mine panels and north of the SOD area. This spring issues from alluvium, is seasonal, <br />and is normally dry in late summer or autumn. Monitoring at this spring began in 1981. <br />4.4.5 New Spring Monitoring Sites <br />4.4.5.1 Spring 35-3 <br />Spring 35-3 is located in upper Deep Creek which is tributary to the North Fork of the Gunnison River (Map 1). <br />This spring is located in the SOD area that will be developed between years 2009 and 2013. The source of this <br />spring appears to issue from alluvium. Baseline monitoring of Spring 35-3 began in the spring of 2006 and <br />included measuring flow, collecting field water quality data, and collecting samples for laboratory water quality <br />analyses from May through October 2006 (CDMG, 2005b). Routine monitoring at this location began in 2007. <br />4.4.5.2 Deer Creek Spring <br />Deer Creek Spring is a decreed domestic spring located in Deer Creek which is tributary to the Dry Fork. It is <br />located west of the SOD area. The source of this spring is not known. Baseline monitoring of Deer Creek Spring <br />will begin in the spring of 2006. Baseline monitoring of this station included measuring flow, collecting field <br />water quality data, and collecting samples for laboratory water quality analyses from May through October 2006 <br />(CDMG, 2005a). Routine monitoring at this spring began in 2007. <br />4.4.5.3 Spring WCC-24 <br />Spring WCC-24 is a perennial spring located in a small unnamed tributary on the south side of Dry Fork (Map 1). <br />It is located west of the SOD area that will be developed between years 2009 to 2013. The source of this spring is <br />not known. Baseline monitoring of Spring WCC-24 began in the spring of 2006 and included measuring flow, <br />collecting field water quality data, and collecting samples for laboratory water quality analyses from May through <br />October 2006 (CDMG, 2005b). Routine monitoring at this location began in 2007. <br />4.4.5.4 Spring J-2 <br />Spring J-2 is located in Lick Creek which is tributary to Minnesota Creek (Map 1). It is located south of the SOD <br />area that will be developed between 2014 and 2018. The source of this spring appears to issue from colluvium. <br />Baseline monitoring of Spring J-2 began in the spring of 2006 and included measuring flow, collecting field water <br />quality data, and collecting samples for laboratory Nvater quality analyses from May through October 2006 <br />(CDMG, 2005b).
