Nature of Anticipated Disturbance: A small area (up to 50ft x 50ft) will be leveled to accommodate a
truck mounted coring machine to test for subsurface coal deposits. Surface vegetation will be removed but
the root system will be left when possible. The core hole is small and will impact less than one square foot.
13. Comments: Often the terrain does not allow for this amount of surface leveling and the amount of impact
will be less. All the core holes are accessible via existing two-tracks or overland routes. No dirt work will
occur in association with access to the hole locations.
