Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the facts or
evidence supporting the enforcement action.
The 2-West Portals, substation and South Fan sites were inspected. Vegetative cover is sparse at the
portal sites, but all of these locations are stable and well maintained.
The Substation B site was in very good condition. Silt fences are maintained and functioning well.
The reclaimed areas appear to be fairly well vegetated.
At the North Decline reclaimed area, the mine discharge site (016) was viewed. The mine discharge
was flowing at approximately 275 gpm.
The North Portals area was inspected. Coal Creek was dry at the time of the inspection. Roads were
being watered for dust suppression at the Cameo substation and on the haul road leading to CRDA-1.
The CRDA waste disposal sites were stable, diversions and perimeter ditches appeared functional.
At the UTL loop area, Halliburton was actively using this location to load trucks with sand. The site
has been approved for use by Halliburton to store and load construction materials. No problems were
noted at any of the mine site locations during this inspection.
