Ground water quality in the low sections of Foidel and Middle Creeks, neaz their confluence, is of calcium-
bicarbonate sulfate type. Electric conductivity ranges from 1,010 (Nell 008-AV-2) to 2,120 µmhos (Well 008-
AV-1)and pH concentration range from 7.3 to 8.2 units.
Presently, alluvial ground water from Foidel and Middle Creek is riot utilized within the permit boundary due to
relatively poor waterquality. ,
f51 Permit annlications ma~omply with the requirements, of 2 04.7(4)(c) and 2.04.7(21(al & (bl
regardine the seasonal variability of surface and azoundwater quality and auantity without the collection of data
coverine 12 consecutive months if accurate statistical~rocedures. approved by the Division. aze used to
extrauolate from a data base coverine a shorter period of time.
RESPONSE
The information presented and referenced in this permit revision application regarding seasonal variations of
water quality and quantity represents over five years of intensive hydrologic data collection for the pemut and
adjacent areas.
