third haulroad, Middle Moffat Haulroad, extends from the midslope portion
of Moffat to the Lower Moffat Haulroad. The profile for this road is shown
on Exhibit 3.5-6.
There are three light use roads at the Edna Mine. The Trout Creek
Road located near the Moffat Pond is described in Section 3.6.5. The West
Ridge - Center Ridge Light Use Road extends from the West Ridge Road to the
West Ridge and Center Ridge Ponds. The Scrap Yard Road extends from the
North Haulroad to the Scrap Yard located south of the metering substation.
These roads are show on Exhibit 3.5-1.
These roads will be maintained and reclaimed according to the
standards set forth in Section 3.5. Culvert placement for these roads are
shown on Exhibit 3.5-22.
3.6.7.9 soQimantatioa YonBa
All sedimentation ponds, except for the Moffat pond and Facilities
• pond were constructed during the interim program. The interim program
sediment control structures were designed to the performance standards in
effect at the time they were constructed. Design of these ponds and size
calculations are provided in Section 4.6.4, 4,6.5 and 4.6.6. At the
present time, there is no indication that these structures do not meet the
effluent limitations in effect now. Appendix 3.6-A shows the monitoring
results for these ponds. Should the discharge from these structures fail
to meet effluent limits in the future, they will be redesigned to meet the
performance standards and design criteria in effect at that time.
The Moffat and Facilities ponds were constructed under the permanent
program. Design of these ponds and size calculations for These ponds are
provided in Section 4.6.1.
3.6.3 C071L HARDLINO 9TRIICTIIRS9
Coal is hauled from the active mining area to the hopper area by
trucks. The coal is then either placed in the coal stockpile or dumped
into the hopper. The stockpile is used in the event of breakdowns or to
• facilitate coal blending. The coal is transferred from the stockpile to
Mid-term '94 3.6-4 September 15, 1994
