Chapter V
G. COMPLIANCE WITH OTHER GOVERNMENT
LAWS AND REGULATIONS
All steps during the reclamation process will be taken to comply with the Clean Air
Act, the Clean Water Act and other applicable air and water quality laws and
regulations and health and safety standards of County, State and Federal Agencies.
Some examples would be the sediment basins and drainage ditches that will be left
until the conclusion of the reclamation activities in order to protect the area during
the removal of structures and rough grading operations. Water trucks would be
used to spray freshly dug up areas to control fugitive dust. Temporary hay bales,
etc., would be utilized to control erosion until vegetation cover is adequate. Water
monitoring would continue to ensure control of the hydrologic balance..
i
44
