completion of pipeline installation, all associated affected lands will be reclaimed <br />according to the approved reclamation plan. <br />(c) Water diversions and impoundment: <br />Crossing portions of the East and West Pits is the Excelsior Ditch. The Ditch is awned, <br />maintained and operated by Excelsior Ditch Company. The Applicant/Operator has agreements <br />with the Excelsior Ditch Company to relocate the ditch to the north of the proposed mining area <br />as shown on Exhibit "C" Mining Plan Map. The Excelsior Ditch diversion will be trapezoidal in <br />shape, being approximately 15 feet wide at the invert of the channel with 2 horizontal to 1 <br />vertical side slopes. <br />(d) The size of the area(s) to be worked at any one time: <br />The size of the area to be excavated at any time will be as shown on the Mining Plan Map, <br />Exhibit "C", attached. The smallest area will be ± 16 acres and the largest area will be + 63 <br />acres. <br />(e) An approximate timetable to describe the mining operation: <br />This is a long-term mining operation. It will be a staged and phased operation and will gradually <br />continue excavation utilizing a floating bond concept. All stages and phases in the timetable are <br />dependent on market conditions. The estimated life of this mining operation is between 20 and <br />25 years if the anticipated sale of product is met. (Please see Exhibit "C", Map Legend for <br />"Estimated Mining Timetable".) <br />Reclamation will fallow mining as closely as operationally feasible. Since the post mining land <br />use will be developed water resource, a significant part of site reclamation will be completed <br />prior to material extraction. The slurry wall will be constructed prior to the onset of mining. The <br />mining slopes, as they approach the lacatian of a slurry wall, wilt be mined at an appropriate <br />angle (3H:1~ such that the integrity of the virgin earth protecting the slurry wall is maintained. <br />Pit slope mining configurations will ensure that the pit slopes inboard of a slurry wall are stable <br />under a wet or saturated condition. <br />(i) An estimate of the periods of time which will be required for the various <br />stages or phases: <br />This will be long term mining operation lasting from 20 to 25 years. Within this time period, <br />mining will be a staged and phased operation that will gradually continue excavation, utilizing a <br />floating bond concept. The time for each stage and phase will vary dependent upon market <br />demand, but all mining should be completed within the estimated 25 years life of mine. <br />(ii) A description of the size and location of each area to be worked during each <br />phase: <br />
