III Exhibit "E" Reclamation plan <br />A) Under the mining plan operator states reclamation will commence in phases and once 10 acres are <br />affected reclamation will commence. However, under the reclamation plan the operator states, "It is <br />anticipated that with in the next couple of years when the deposits are depleted from the pit, reclamation <br />will commence with final grading. The side slopes will be graded to 3:1 or flatter in the course of mining. <br />Many of the surrounding range land slopes are much steeper and with good grazing practices will do <br />well". During the pre- operational inspection the Division didn't notice many slopes that looked like they <br />were steeper than 3:1.Infcat with the exception of the area along the east side most of the surrounding areas <br />noted were mostly flat agricultural land, please explain. <br />B) Under the mining plan the operator states, "The deposit is covered by an extremely thin layer (4 to 6 <br />inches) of top soil deposit". Under the top soiling heading, ,the operator states;' a test hole was during a <br />pre- operational inspection .The test hole suggested there is at least 8 inches of top soil at the site.. Given <br />the findings of Halde Sand and Gravel Inc. will commit to salvaging at least 8 to 16 inches of top soil". <br />Based on your own findings DRMS will calculate the warranty on an average depth of 11 inches of top soil <br />over the entire affected area. <br />C) Under the noxious weed control plan, the operator states 'Please see attached, "where is the attached <br />document? None was included in the application. <br />IV) Exhibit "G" Water Information. <br />A) Operator states, "This operation will not directly affect the surface or ground water systems. No water <br />will be exposed during the course of mining. The depth of ground water is approximately 60 feet deep. Is <br />this approximate depth based on surrounding water wells, please explain. <br />V) Exhibit "H" ADEQAUTE <br />VI) Exhibit "I' <br />A) Please refer to comments under Exhibit "E" Reclamation plan. <br />VII) Exhibit "L" <br />A) Enclosed you will find the Division s Financial Warranty Calculation for the phased 10 acres. <br />IX) Exhibits "M" THRU "Q" AEQUATE. <br />X) Exhibit "S" <br />A) It is the understanding of the Division during the pre-operational inspection that all the man made <br />structures noted such as fences ,windmill belong to the land owner, Mrs. kerry Halde.
