The time for this to be done would have been 15-20 years
ago and has now passed.
I have received no notification from Serfer or Connell regarding the application to the state and any deadlines for
comment.
If it is in fact true that we cannot stop this project (which I find amazing), I would request that a definite time limit and
end result be enforced upon approval. It is unreasonable to allow my property values and quality of life to be affected
in an open ended manner. I am also deeply concerned that there will not be water in the pit after reclamation or that
the water level would fluctuate to such an extent that the pit would actually be empty for periods of time. Also, I
believe the mining operation should be restricted to come no closer than 200 feet of the river. The river ecosystem
and wildlife will be devastatingly impacted if this project goes through.
I urge you to reject this application. If not rejected, then please put the suggestions I have voiced here into the
requirements of the approval.
Best Regards,
Daniel C.
