ditches appeared normal and functional. The operator has removed roof bolts used for straw
bales during the initial reclamation of the refuse pile. Some bolts still remain on the north
facing slope west of Pond 4 in at least two locations.
Revec~etation
Vegetation is outstanding due to excellent rainfall and growing conditions. Cicer milk vetch,
normally drying up at this time of year, is lush and green in all areas. The operator may want
to consider removing rabbit guards from shrub transplants as some are restricting growth as
transplants become firmly established.

Russian knapweed plants were found on and adjacent to the topsoil pile where previously
identified last year. The County has yet to arrive to treat this aggressive and noxious
species. Plants were marked with orange flagging for future treatment.
Offsite Support Facilities
The reclaimed loadout area was traversed. Vegetation is good is all areas with only isolated
areas of kochia and cheatgrass noted. Warm season grasses are beginning to dominate
this area. Both ponds at the loadout were dry and have nearly 100% capacity remaining for
-. runoff and/or sediment.
Overall, the area appeared in excellent condition for the summer season.
