road and one on the slope where Culvert Cl-5 is located)each covered less than 1,000 square <br /> feet and appeared to be composed of topsoil or fill that had sloughed off of steep slopes when the <br /> snow melted(see following photos). The material sloughing off from the Culvert Cl-5 slope <br /> was being visually monitored every few hours. The slide material was being trucked to the <br /> subsoil stockpile for storage. A berm had been dozed up to prevent the material from reaching <br /> the nearby North Fork River, which appeared to be an effective method. None of the slides <br /> appeared to be a public safety hazard as they were in areas where access is controlled by the <br /> mine. Ditches below the slides were being periodically monitored visually so that any slide <br /> material could be removed.
