(Page 2)
MINE ID # OR PROSPECTING ID # M-1999-005
INSPECTION DATE 12/01/2006 INSPECTOR'S INITIALS DEG
OBSERVATIONS
This inspection of Permit Number M-1999-005 (North River Pit) was conducted by Deb E. Gbnima of the DRMS as part of the
routine monitoring and inspection protocol. Phil Crumb of All Right Paving 8 Redi Mix, Inc. was present during this inspection.
The pit is located approximately 2 miles southwest of Rocky Ford, CO, and currently consists of approximately 30 acres.
Mine entrance signs and permit boundary markers are all in place. The topsoil stockpile is located at the northern perimeter of
the active pit area by the scale house (see photo 2). There are several material stockpiles the main one is situated near the
southern boundary of the site (see photo 1). There was equipment on site at the time of this inspection. However, all fuel and
hazardous materials were stored using secondary containment (see photo 4).
Tamarisk was observed in the southwestern section of the permit area (see Problem No. 1 on pg. 3) -see photo 3. The
Operator was advised to treat the Tamarisk while the infestation is relatively small and localized. The Operator must submit a
weed control and management plan to the Division, per Rule 3.1.10(6}, on or before March 1, 2007. This plan should be
developed in consultation with the county extension agency, or weed control district office, and should include specific control
measures to be applied, a schedule of when the control measures will be applied, and apost-spray monitoring plan.
All other activities and completed work at the time of inspection appeared to follow the guidelines and regulations set forth by
the state and the approved mining and reclamation plans for the pit, and no additional problems are noted for this site. The site
appears stable, and no disturbance was observed outside of the approved permit boundaries. For future reference, this site is
correctly positioned in the DRMS online GIS.
Responses to #his inspection report should be directed to Deb E. Gbnima at the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety,
Denver Office, 1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, Denver, Colorado 80203, phone number 303-866-4179.
I & E Contact Address cc: ^ CE
NAME Denise Gonzales ^ BL
OPERATOR All Right Paving 8 Redi Mix.
