5 of 109
3. For the month of June, there were eight (8) out of ten (10) study years that had
sufficient water to provide a continuous 1.50CFS (50 shares equivalent) or more
to the Morgans.
4. For the month of July, there were three (3) out of ten (10) study years that had
sufficient water to provide a continuous 1.50CFS (50 shares equivalent) or more
to the Morgans.
5. For the month of August, there were two (2) out of the ten (10) study years that
had sufficient water to provide a continuous 1.50CFS (50 shares equivalent) or
more to the Morgans.
6. For the month of September, there were zero (0) out of the ten (10) study years
that had sufficient water to provide a continuous 1.50CFS (50 shares equivalent)
or more to the Morgans.
7. As can be seen on the charts below, the flow fluctuation of the CCC Ditch
(Highline Canal) is not constant or predictable over the ten (10) year study period
and 50 shares only equals 1.50CFS (three side roll equivalent) in just a few
months out of the 10 year period, typically in the month of June.
8. Since this study is for a higher level of vegetation (irrigated crop alfalfa) and on
Prime Farmland Soils, the amount of irrigation water supplied to the fields should
be fairly consistent throughout the growing season.
9. 50 shares of CCC Irrigation water would support two (2) 1,280ft
Summary by year-of days per month the CCC Ditch has sufficient volume to supply
1.50CFS (or more) of water to three (3) 1,280ft side rolls @ 0.50CFS per side roll
2007
May-2007-15 days out of 31 had flows of 1.50CFS or greater (or 50 shares equivalent)
June-2007-30days out of 30 days had flows of 1.50CFS or greater (or 50 shares equivalent)
July-2007-31days out of 31 days had flows of 1.50CFS or greater (or 50 shares equivalent)
August-2007-23 days out of 31 days had flows of 1.50 CFS or greater (or 50 shares equivalent)
