San Luis Project
CDMG Annual Report
March 23, 2008
Page 5
During 2007, BMRI withdrew one Permit Amendment (Amendment #2) and submitted one
Permit Amendment (Amendment #3) to the Division. The Permit Amendment #2 application
was with drawn to revise the application to incorporate public comments or suggestions received
from the public comment period. These Permit Amendment applications proposed for the
construction of a water conveyance pipeline from the West Pit pumping wells to the adjoining
Newmont Reality Company ranch. In addition, the Amendment #3 application proposed
construction of two lined ponds in the West Pit area for the winter season storage of water from
the West Pit. The proposed construction would be for the long-term use of the West Pit water at
the ranch as crop irrigation water. A temporary substitute supply plan was filed with the
Colorado Department of Natural Resources and subsequent a filing concerning the transfer or use
of water rights with the Water Court.
Attached are the Annual Fee and Report Request and the $1,000 annual fee payment.
Should any questions concerning the above reported activities arise, please feel free to contact
either Mr. Julio Madrid or myself.
S' cerely,
Bill Lyl
Director of Env. Affairs
Cc: Julio Madrid
Jim Finley, Telesto
