From the Nature Center, hiking trails will
radiate throughout the district with interprehve%ducational signs for flora and
faana and geologic characteristics. The trials will keep visitors off of protected
areas and provide educational experiences for people of all ages. Financing for
this project would come from Calais Resources and a joint effort with Boulder
County Parks and Open Space. In the future, it is Calais's desire to place a
significant amount of our patented (fee title) -and into a Park and Recreation
District while keeping the mach smaller amount of acreage required for our
surface plant facilities, future exploration activities and mine safety. Less than
10 acres of oar total acreage is expected to be used for our existing and new
sarface pilot plant facilities and operations.
3. Calais Resources Inc. plans to continue the tradition established by Hendricks
Mining Co. to participate in many Community projects in the Nederland area.
Phis policy was began in the 1970's and will continue through out the fatare.
The Company also plans to spin off a certain portion of pre-tax profit from its
mining operations to help fond the Commanity Center, the Wild Bear Center
for Natare and Discovery, Nederland Teens, Nederland Seniors, the Nederland
Library, The Nederland Area Development Authority, the Police and Fire
Department. The company Plans to continue its educational tours and lectures of
the mines for school children and world wide visitors which to-date has been in
excess of 40,000 people.
4. Track traffic and car pooling are important items in our business planning.
With concentrating our ores at a ratio of 25 to 1, our initial pilot plant mine will
require only one track load of concentrates leaving Cariboo every three days.
Supply tracks wiU be very minimal, We plan to purchase a 4 wheel drive crew
transport vehicle to travel between the mine and Nederland to cot down on road
vehicle trips. All employees and supplies will be educated on strict road safety.
The new pilot plant mine will employ a total of 25 people in high paying jobs
with benefits and maximum safety equipment and practices using state of the art
equipment. Many of these workers will reside in Nederland.
5. Calais Resources Inc, is working with top qualified environmental engineers
and scientists to insure the proper design sail construction of oar new pilot plant
operation. We are and will continue to work closely with Boulder County
government, Local government and the Division of Minerals and Geology,
MSHA and the CDH to ensure our operations are 100 percent sound
environmentally and safe. We wiII design and implement plans that will focal on
post mining operation closures and fall reclamation activities.
