Underground works will originate from the portal area and are planned <br />• to progress towards the north and west in a logical progression. <br />initially, the underground mining will be in development work only as <br />the main and submain entries are established into the reserve area. <br />Development: will continue until areas of the reserve are accessible to <br />mine panels 1For pillar extraction. Mining panels will typically be <br />designed to germinate at property boundaries, thin or unmerchantable <br />coal, or other geologic constraints. Lands to be affected by <br />underground mining over the life of the operation are shown on Map 7. <br />The map shows the estimated extent and sequence of underground <br />mining areas in five-year increments for the currently projected mine <br />life. <br />r~ <br />L <br /> <br />2.05-3 Revised 5.01.07 <br />
