Grading will occur as site preparation for building
and road construction. An average of ten (10) inches of topsoil
materials will be salvaged prior to disturbance, and stockpiled for
reclamation.
2.04.10 Vegetation Information
Kent Crofts of IME Consulting performed an initial vegetation survey of
the proposed disturbed area in February, 2007with site sampling
during the summer of 2007. The full report is provided in Exhibit J.
Two vegetation communities were identified: Juniper-Grassland and
Disturbed Grassland. Sample adequacy was achieved at the 90%
confidence interval for plant cover, herbaceous production and woody
plant densiity for the Juniper-Grassland Predisturbance Area and
corresponding Juniper-Grassland Reference Area. Sample adequacy
was also achieved for plant cover and herbaceous production on the
Disturbed F~redisturbance Area. Sample adequacy was achieved for
plant cover on the Disturbed Reference Area.
Statistical analysis of data indicated that the selected reference areas
were statisitically similar to the pre-disturbance areas and therefore,
would be appropriate as areas for measurement of final revegetation
success.
2.04-29 Revised 11/05/07
