(~ A description of the following;
(i) Final Grading -Grading shall be carried on so as to create a final topography
appropriate to the final land use of rangeland as selected in the Reclamation Plan.
The final slope grading will be 3:1.
(ii) Seeding -Seeding will be done in accordance with the attached grass seeding plan used .
The types of seed to be planted will consist of Blue Grama, Sideoats Grama, Little
Bluestem, Sand Dropseed, and Sweet Clover. Seeding will be done with a grass drill.
Mulching and fertilizer will be applied. Seeding will be done in the late fall or early
spring, however, there is equally good success in planting very late in the winter should
that be the time the seedbed is finally ready and climatic conditions are suitable.
(iii) Fertilization -Fertilizer will be applied. Type and application will be determined after
final grading is complete and prior to seeding. Soil sampling and testing for soil nutrients
will determine the type and amount of mulching and fertilizer to be applied.
(iv) Revegetation - No trees or shrubs will be planted.
(v) Topsoiling - A test hole was dug during apre-operational inspection. This test hole
suggested there is at least 8 inches of topsoil at the site. Given the findings Halde Sand &
Gravel, Inc. will commit to salvaging at least 8 to 16 inches of topsoil.
(vi) Noxious Weed Control Plan- Please see the attached
