Halde Sand & Gravel, Inc. will use berms and silt fences to contain
normal overland flows from the disturbed areas to prevent off-site damage and
minimize damage to the hydrologic balances with respect to normal surface water
run-off resulting from precipitation events. The berms will be earthen berms and
will be constructed as needed. There is no evidence that water erosion will be a
problem. The Landsman Creek runs north to south to the east of the mining
operation. The mining activities will not effect the creek. All mining will stop within
50' of the creek.
(d) Size of Area to be Worked
This size of area to be worked at one time is approximately 10 acres.
